  From our reporter Carter: Today we started the day with some math. Next, we went to Morning Meeting and did two "name 10" activities with comic book characters and countries of the world. Next was recess and snack. After that, we showed played Kahoot and a game like charades. Next was lunch and recess. We cleaned up the classroom and practiced for our program tomorrow. After that, we packed up and went home.  Weather: 37 and rainy and cloudy Humidity:70%  Barometric Pressure: 29.5 Moon: Waxing Crescent 6.2% Illumination More from me: We did a solid 30 minutes of math - workbooks were sent back home - then studied with a partner for our Europe quiz tomorrow. After that, we had Morning Meeting, where we did two "Name 10" lists. The comic book characters were a hit of course, with Cooper naming 39, and then I snuck in countries of the world, which we did a few weeks ago. Every student could name more countries than they did before. Connor "won" with 53. I

From our reporter Carter and weather person Tatum: Today we started the day with some math. Next, we went to morning meeting and named our top countries in South America. Next was recess and lunch. After that, we showed our Christmas around the world presentations. Then, we finished up our skateboard park and timed them. After that, we did a Kahoot and worked on our songs. In Morning Meeting we listed/became aware of the countries of Central and South America. Conor won with 11 countries. We finished all of our Christmas Around the World presentations. After recess we worked on our skateboard park projects for the last time, working straight up until it was time to go to lunch. Everyone finished.  From our reporter Carter: Today we started the day with Math Monday and our Europe Quiz. and worked on that for around 20 min. After that, we went to the morning meeting and named 10 trees. After that, we had snacks and recess. Next, we worked on our skatepark and helped each other. After about two hours of that, we went to lunch and recess. Next, we worked on our play and other Christmas songs. Their quizzes are in their orange take-home folders. If your student did not earn a 100, they will have the countries they missed on our Thursday quiz which will include the next ten European countries.  From our reporter Cooper Good Afternoon Parents and kids today weather is 60.4 degrees Fahrenheit weather Forecast cloudy with a chance of rain moon illumination 23% Waning Crescent  We worked on our Skatepark we also worked on christmas around the world that is homework for this weekend we worked on our recital we read books for Christmas around the world. More from me: We did not hold Morning Meeting today. We worked on math and I was glad to see questions from so many students. We looked at our Europe map and talked about how Europe changed from 1914 to after WWI, and again after WWII, winners/losers/why Switzerland didn't take sides, and other interesting historical items. We also added four seas to their map. The quiz is on Monday. We then played Kahoot: A continuing review of the identification of nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs, and Gift of the Magi comprehension questions. After recess, we got to work on our Skateboard Parks. Students made much progress today

 From our reporter Cooper:  Good Afternoon Parents and Kids 36 degrees Fahrenheit /Moon Waning Crescent 34%Illumination Today we worked on our skateboard track. Each project is looking great. We read the Gift Of the Magi. We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas and we worked on math in the morning. In Morning Meeting we did what precious possessions we loved and we had a great day. More: Morning Meeting - List your top ten most precious things you own, (interesting answers...ask your student about theirs) in preparation for reading and discussing The Gift Of The Magi. Discussion, vocabulary and reading took the rest of our morning session. Please practice their parts with them; they brought the story home with them in their orange take home folder. Skateboard parks are coming along. Carter and Bailey finished theirs and will become a part of other teams. Tuesday is the last day to work on the project. More from me: We actually did more than this. 👀 In the morning session, we took our first countries of Europe quiz and everyone earned 100%! We also went over the next ten countries which will be on our next quiz on Monday, 14 December. In Morning Meeting we listed 10-holiday decorations. Carter won with 20! Then we took our favorite decoration as a noun and added three adjectives to it. Then we added a verb to it - what did our favorite decoration DO? After that, we added an adverb and told HOW our favorite decoration did what it did. We are beginning to really get these four parts of speech via these types of activities. Good Afternoon parents and kids Monday Weather 1.1 mile/ winds pressure 29.33/ 37 degrees out, no rain, Moon Waning gibbous. Morning today we worked on the Skateboard park,#LOOKING GREAT In the middle of the day, we looked at the Bombing of Pearl Harbor Footage  Inside recess today Mrs. Shugart brought in a bracelet kit and other fun stuff for indoor recess what a great day and we also are working on our play  Cooper played a song at school that was Jolly old Saint Nicholas on the Electric Keyboard. So let me fill in a few more details...... We worked on math in our morning session. Please send in the workbooks your student is working in. I had only two out of five workbooks today. Morning Meeting consisted of our new perimeters for recess and lunchtime, and 15 Things each one of us is grateful for. The middle session was all Skateboard Park construction.
